(4668) Recycling system, Reuse system
An arrangement to reuse, locally, the surface runoff water from an irrigated (usually surface irrigated) field. Water that runs off one irrigation set or field may be directed to a field at a lower level, with or without intervening storage (sequence irrigation), or may be pumped to sets or fields at an elevation higher than the point of runoff. Runoff may be stored, before reuse, in small reservoirs at the lower or upper end of the field. Recycling pumps may be starting manually or automatically, controlled by water level sensors.
